Leo is very good at what he does. I go back a long way with Leo. I was managing the Braves when he was in the minor league system over there.

That goes with the territory, ... I've never been concerned about managing to save my job. I always manage to try to win. And anytime I start thinking that, I have to do this or if I do this it doesn't look as good if I do this, I can't do that.

I won't be managing the Mets. I am closing the door on managing the Mets and probably everybody else.

It's good for the game. It's bad for my stomach.

Unless you have bad times, you can't appreciate the good times.
