Life companies have the ability to offer flexibility in terms and structure that CMBS, just by the nature of the market, can't offer. Life companies are not winning business because they are giving that last dollar, but they can be competitive on pricing and structure of terms.

Tom wanted the ability to give 3 percent raises on their (employment) anniversary dates. This gives Tom the flexibility to give odd-numbered increases.

If there is possbility of the ability, I will choose flexibility.
