Lighted Schoolhouse Night is designed to connect the parents and the children with the school.

Without the club, most would go home or out in their neighborhoods. Our quality after-school programs help to provide a positive future for all of our children, not just the children from families that can afford enriching opportunities.

Last night and today we were encouraging our parents to keep their children in school. What we're seeing now is an example that there are going to be financial and health repercussions that go beyond missing a day of school.

They have that support group to go to in good times and bad times.

We have a high-need population that benefits from the club. The Mead site services a student population that has the highest percentage of students in disadvantaged circumstances.

We're concerned about children that reside in this area -- them getting connected with their parents after school.
