Like I said, and we have said many times from this podium, we're just not in a position to confirm those reports,

The message that we conveyed was the same one you heard from me at the podium yesterday.

As a general statement, our position is that...there are old wounds here and that we would encourage all the parties in the region to move beyond their own particular histories with one another.

We're simply not going to get into any specifics on this topic. But those who are speculating about what we are or are not doing are not helpful. The last thing we're going to do is make the efforts of terrorists easier by describing whatever ways we are using to defeat or deflect their attempts to acquire or use weapons of mass destruction.

Certainly, it is not enough just to hold an election. How that election unfolds is very important. We've called for international election observers in Egypt. So thus far, I don't think that there's been an invitation extended to observers, but this is something that we would encourage and continue to urge.

As we have continued to point out, North Korea's missile program and activities are a threat not only to the region, but the international community at large.
