Local restaurants have always had their regulars, but there are new people coming to town who may not have found those local gems yet.

The increase has been larger this year than we've seen in the past. The introduction of some nationally known restaurants probably has driven traffic toward them, and we always see when a new restaurant opens, it tends to draw people to that area.

This has provided a great foundation for where the A&P Commission needs to focus its efforts in the short term and in the long term as well.

That comes so late in the year, it's probably not going to have any effect on this year's budget. A lot of it also depends on how many games we'll get next year, but certainly the increased revenue will be a good cushion.

People are still going to meet in restaurants. They may just have to pay their own way.

Sit around the bars, talked to people, ate in the restaurants, and chatted with the old ladies on the street. Fishermen are pretty much that way.
