The Obama administration faces a serious challenge....we believe in the values of democracy..., the rule of the law... We support the spread of these values...and we also hope for “stability” in the Middle East. Moving from non-democratic regimes toward a democratic system...brings about uncertainty and instability. There is a deep concern that such a process and a vacuum will allow for a country that is moving in that direction to be hijacked by extremists. March 3, 2011
