Mankind has actually flourished in warmer temperatures.

The entire country is basking in warmer-than-normal temperatures.

In the winter, early in the season, it actually can have a warming effect and hold the temperatures up, where temperatures drop much colder in interior sections, and then the opposite takes place in the summer.

How many people are moving up toward the Antarctica, or the Arctic? Most people move down to Texas and Florida, where it's a little bit warmer.

For instance, temperatures last week in the Northeast were 10 degrees warmer compared to the same period last year. That helped push sales of seasonal merchandise. Is all sales strength due to the weather? That's hard to say.

If that holds true, that means that temperatures should average out slightly warmer than normal. Of course, the down side of that is that if that holds true, there will be more of a chance of mixed precipitation such as sleet and freeze rain during January and early February.
