Many voters are reappraising Schwarzenegger. They're a little puzzled because they're not sure which Schwarzenegger they'll see, the more bipartisan governor or the partisan Republican Schwarzenegger of 2005.

The thing that's most striking to me is the impact that Schwarzenegger himself is having on his own initiatives. It's got to be disastrous from the governor's standpoint.

What you see is kind of a balanced assessment. There are some policy positions where some voters are fairly lenient to illegal immigrants and on others they're supportive of tougher approaches.

If you compare this (election) to Clare, something like this might generate 100 (voters), ... I'm not sure if voters here are more conscientious but maybe they'll have a larger turnout than I'm accustomed to. If AV requests are any indication, I'd say it will be a light turnout.

Every vote here indicates that this is not bipartisan.
