Mary believes that at the center of everyone is a mystery. And the idea that you can sum up a person in two hours, to say that this one event or this one person is what made such and such happen, is ridiculous.

I haven't had to do too many, or many explicit ones. Everybody feels weird, and everybody is trying to tiptoe around and make you think they're not there. The last time I did a love scene, I couldn't keep a straight face.

I just didn't expect it to have the impact it did, and that was where I was naive. At the same time I'm happy ultimately for the experience because I'm stronger.
