[Matthews] welcomes meetings with individual parents.

I think our booth has helped parents because it allows them to ask what the exact subject matter of the program is - responsibility, academic success, study skills and the different offices and resources that are available to students. It is reassuring to them to know those things, especially since those are the types of things parents are most worried about when they send their kids away to college.

There doesn't appear to be a mass exodus.

She [Whitehead] was assured this was a social gathering and not a discussion of individual student complaints.

The paper has been reviewed consistently back to at least the 1980s. This is a journalism class, and our expectation is that the newspaper's content will be reviewed by the adults in charge.

We've complied with the law in every way. We're sorry the students have decided to take this course of action.
