Maybe the owner's on the front porch wondering why you are here. And we have to explain to them we got a call to their house and they don't know where it came from. It's somebody's idea of a joke. It's not funny to us.

But the calls that are the worst for us are the malicious false calls where someone calls the fire department and describes a house on fire and gives an address and everyone's flying to get there because someone could be inside.
