Melvin called me. He has been playing in Iceland. He enjoyed the game last year and wanted to be a part of it again. Having a guard of his caliber will help us.

For me, he really stands out as a guy I've really enjoyed playing with. He enjoys playing the game. He's a tough out, and he does things in the field like he did today.

Fifty points looks bad, but we've been in that kind of game all year long. And we were in that game again today.

Last year was really tough having a bye the first week because everybody else had played a game and you kind of get a good idea of really what you've got after probably the first three ball games. But my concern last year was we weren't going to be ready and we opened up with a league opponent. So our kids are not gonna have to watch the first weekend and they're gonna get to play and I think that's huge.

I always enjoyed playing, but accolades never meant a whole lot to me.
