Memo to future presidents: Never stake your entire survival on the painful passing of a bad bill. Never take the country down the road to 'Demon Pass.'

Fame for fame's sake is never a good road to go down.

There's a lot of optimism in changing scenery, in seeing what's down the road.

Never take counsel of your fears.

Go right straight down the road, to do what is best, and to do it frankly and without evasion.

I don't say I was 'proceeding down a thoroughfare;' I say I 'walked down the road'. I don't say I 'passed a hallowed institute of learning;' I say I 'passed a school'.
