Most of the local development community thought we were crazy.

The biggest (challenge) was convincing people there's a market here. This is not a poor community. It is decidedly middle-class. The median income is about $50,000.

We are thrilled that Davis accepted this position. His knowledge and experience will move us forward at a faster pace on a broad variety of initiatives related to greening and conservation.

The market is known now.

It's really grown into a community-based occasion.

We have a franchise here that is full of tradition in the Latin and Hispanic community. Probably no franchise in baseball has more [Latin] tradition than the Giants, and now it comes full circle with our manager, Felipe [Alou], and with all the players. Just seeing Omar dancing on the stage an hour before the game is wonderful.
