Mountain View normally doesn't make mistakes like that, but when they did I thought our guys did a good job getting the runs in.

With this region being as strong as it is, it was important for us to get off on the right foot.

Our pitchers did an excellent job of throwing strikes and getting outs when we needed them.

We have a few guys who can chuck it a little bit and I think our experience is a plus, but I think our defense has to raise it up a notch and be more consistent.

Our guys worked extremely hard, we thought well enough to win the game. We just made mental mistakes sometimes. Our effort was 100 percent and our mental game was probably 90 percent, but that's okay. Most teams will play 70 to 80 percent of both those.

I thought we were more disciplined than that. We made too many mistakes and had too many penalties and Steubenville did a nice job of capitalizing on them.
