My basic concern is that none of the governmental agencies have really exerted efforts to maintain and clean up the rivers and streams.

They have had the advantage of being a low-cost carrier, but there is concern that the gap is waning.

Lands are dormant. Everything flows down to the river and oceans. We're looking at tons and tons of soil running down to the ditches and down river.

The other concern was the nature of the land back there, which was just sort of a forest. There's concern over [the developer] just leveling everything and clear-cutting it.

It is a great source of concern when any of these procedures are not being followed. One is always going to find a violation here or there, but an indication that ignoring the rules is widespread practice is shocking and deplorable.

In each of these situations, demand has been negatively affected by public concern over avian influenza.
