My brother, Rusty and and his wife, Sherry, named their child after him.

Kids wanted to be Kirby Puckett. Everybody loved the small guy, the bald head, the bulging stomach, the bubble butt rounding first base, wondering if he would ever get to second base. That's what they remember and then they would just start laughing. That was Kirby Puckett. That's why they loved him.

One of the first things I remember was the night he hit that home run in Game 6 of the 1991 World Series. It was really late. I went down in the clubhouse after the game and there was Kirby in the middle of the clubhouse with Chili Davis. A clubhouse attendant was there, too.

And I had to take care of a little dog too named Suzy. It was the promoter's wife's - Judy Lynn's - it was her dog. And one of my duties going on the tour was to take care of it.

Having Josh back is good. He's a little rusty. He's been worried about his wife and not sleeping a lot, so he's not in the best shape. But he's here with us now and we're going to go into these three games with a lot of heart and effort.
