Attendance in some cases isn't what we would like it to be, and when we have extreme cases shame on us if we didn't do anything. I've signed petitions and usually parents fix the problem. We've had cases with up to 30 and 40 absences in a 180- day school year.

It's a shame he had to wait this long, but I'm very happy for him because he damn sure deserves it.

He has paid in full the taxes and civil penalties. He is whole with the government.

It's shame that gets us killed. Shame is the anchor, the heaviest burden to carry from the battlefield. Fortunately shame was an affliction I'd never suffered from.
