My concern is those kids. I've been keeping them close to the house.

I have four kids under age 8.

This is more than house cats wandering off.

My concern here with the pending strike is the polarization and the lesson that's left with the kids, because even if they're not going to be teaching in the classroom, the kids are still going to getting a lesson if there's a strike on Thursday.

We know kids are safe when they are in our Clubs. A big concern is what happens to them on their way to and from our facility. This program helps our members become street smart. That means avoiding gangs and resolving disputes with words instead of guns, and leading their peers to do the same.

When you hear about those deaths, it is a concern. It's the kind of thing the kids bring to me to talk about, and it's something we will address.
