My fingerprints were not on the knife, my blood was not on the knife, and my DNA is not on the knife. How on earth is it possible to stab someone 63 times and yet leave no physical evidence whatsoever?

The Ripper case is not one to be conclusively solved by DNA or fingerprints, ... and in a way, this is good. Society has come to expect the wizardry of forensic science to solve all crimes, but without the human element of deductive skills, teamwork, very hard investigation, and smart prosecution, evidence means nothing.

A profile is an investigative tool. It is not science, it is not DNA, it is not latent fingerprints. ... It is just one more tool investigators have. But a profile does not tell you who did the crime.

The state said this case is not about scientific evidence because they don't have any ... no DNA, no fingerprints. Senator Williams and his gang were out for drugs and didn't care who got in their way. There's no testimony that Washington got those drugs.

I'm not really in a hurry to get up under the knife.
