My own feeling is that we have to do a police station there. That issue (private development) came up eight, nine years ago. But at the same time, circumstances could have changed now.

Mrs. Vaughan puts students at the center of everything she does. She is just a great teacher and certainly deserves the recognition and award.

This would not cause an increase in taxes. Hopefully, we can avoid the issue of taxing for the next few years. This is not to say what would happen at the end of three years. We would have to revisit at that point and revenue enhancement (a tax hike) cannot be ruled out. We would have to see what is then the condition of the general fund.

The police cannot protect the citizen at this stage of our development, and they cannot even protect themselves in many cases. It is up to the private citizen to protect himself and his family, and this is not only acceptable, but mandatory.
