My parents got a screen name just to talk to me. That's pretty crazy.

They send me pictures every few days and they forward me stupid e-mails I just don't read. They get them from their friends, and I have no idea why they think I would be interested.

They know I go out and party, but they are over it because they know they can't control it anymore. Normally they are off my back at night.

I think our booth has helped parents because it allows them to ask what the exact subject matter of the program is - responsibility, academic success, study skills and the different offices and resources that are available to students. It is reassuring to them to know those things, especially since those are the types of things parents are most worried about when they send their kids away to college.

They bounce pretty quickly from one activity to the next. Sometimes it is more difficult on the parents and the adults than it is on the kids.

I can be pretty nasty. Not 'mean' nasty, but nasty by your parents' standards. But not by my parents' standards, because my parents were nasty for their day.
