My parents thought I was crazy at first. They told me I could get more out of softball, but I just love bowling. My softball coach understood, and I think my parents are actually surprised at how good things have turned out.

One of the biggest things he helped me with was cutting down the number of steps I take before releasing the ball. But we've made a lot of adjustments, and I've really improved a lot since I first started.

My friend Gina got me to the bowling alley for one of their practices, and I remember watching [former Lemont star] Sam Swanson bowl a couple years ago. Her hook was amazing. I thought that was pretty cool, so I decided to bowl that season. I actually used a house ball the entire year and had a good time.

My parents are both redheads, so they knew I was going to be a redhead. They just thought Bryce Canyon was very strong and it was red. And they thought it was beautiful. So they named me Bryce. And Dallas is where I was conceived. My parents are hippies.

I thought I had gotten second, but I didn't, so I was really happy.

I was a 'kid' kid. Even though I experimented with performing at an early age my parents never thought I'd be an actress.
