My priority is to increase the endowment fund. I think we'll continue to grow.

We need to increase the Endowment Fund for the Capitol so it doesn't go the way of the Weidner (Center for the Performing Arts).

We expect that prices for certain commodities like cement, asphalt, PVC pipes and labor to continue to increase, and that contractors will make sure they put that price increase in their bids. It's a guessing game.

We're not trying to blast the Internet Fund. We think Ryan did a great job. We admire him and we look forward to seeing what he's going to do next. But in the meantime, I decided to take advantage of some of these changes and some of the questions these changes bring up.

I continue to think that it would be a good thing for Brown. It could really have a salutary effect on the lives of students. But there are a lot of other things that we need to do in the meantime.
