My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent

And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.

What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows? / Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.

And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in thy father's presence, so will I be in thy presence.

And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.
