NCLB is a federal law. Vermont complies with the law. Beyond that, I have no desire, nor will I allow it to drive the education vision of this state.

We're saying if you've demonstrated success, you don't have to do as much paperwork.

I don't pretend to know how best to draw the absolute line. It's a tough call.

Most of my years there were only two of us in my grade. So I know something about small schools.

They're all interesting in their own way. I especially like the interactions with the students.

I have acted in every instance from a conscientious desire to do what was right, constitutional, within the law, and for the very best interests of the whole people. Failures have been errors of judgment, not of intent.
