Network television is not interested in civil rights; they're interested in making money. If things that will generate money are diverse in any way, so be it, but if not, they'll go in the other direction.

It is not about civil rights or the rights of same-sex couples. Same-sex couples are free to live as they choose.

There is nothing in that mix that will devalue the value of network television. In fact, I think it will be exactly the opposite.

There's so much going on, and some of it is stuff you don't normally see on network television.
