Ninth-graders have some discipline issues that, if not addressed, can grow into a large problem later on. We're trying to deal with them while they're still small issues.

We wanted to educate, enlighten and sensitize the ninth graders to the issues they are facing and the issues they will face in order to ease their transition into adulthood. Kids need to learn to get their needs met in productive ways.

There's so many issues in that town that are not being addressed,

I am encouraged that a few ninth-graders do look like they have what it takes to be really good players.

The ninth and tenth graders are really skilled ballplayers. They fit in very well at this level.

The mechanism is relating the wrong things. The scarcity problem is not being addressed.
