No one wants to pay more on water bills, ... But it's federally mandated and everyone knows it's the law.

The weight of the wheel and water deteriorated the axle. It dropped about three inches and just starting chucking wooden teeth out of some smaller gears. Those teeth are specially made out of very, very hard maple wood, so you can imagine the stress.

The water boards can elect to protect our waterways or to continue shielding farmers from the law. They can't do both.

Certainly, its important to protect the water system and that covers, certainly, everything from vandals to terrorists.

Once that water is used, it's not going to come back. Whether it's better to use it now or save it for tomorrow is where you get the debate.
