Nobody gave us a chance to be where we're at right now because of last year. This is a make or break game for us. The girls can either bounce back or hang their heads. I think they're strong, work hard and will bounce back before the next one.

It was a game with two good teams, and they scored one more run than we did. Our girls never quit, and I couldn't have asked for a better group in my first year. They earned everything they got, and nothing was given to them. They surprised a lot of folks and learned they could do anything if they put their minds to it.

We came into this game relaxed knowing we had already made the playoffs. We're ecstatic about making the playoffs, but I'm not pleased with our performance tonight.

On paper it looks good for us right now. This a chance for us to gain more confidence and win some games we should win, but baseball's really goofy, and anything at this level can happen.

This gives us a lot of confidence. Right now, I feel like we have a chance to compete in the UMAC.

Right now it is not what I would call a standard alternative. It's usually the exception.
