Not a year goes by that I don't think of Mrs. McAuliffe on that anniversary. Her legacy to her students? It's to wake up and see how fun your education can be.

I was right there on launch pad 39B, looking up at those grand towers thinking about my teacher and her experiences up there. She always told us to reach for the stars, to not give up on your dreams. That's what made her one of my heroes. She lived what she preached. Man, she certainly did that for herself.

That was really cool, how she stood up and gave credit where it was due.

The fact of it is you get to sit and soak things in. It appeals to interests students have, rather than subjecting them to something they have to take.

At Hug High we are dedicated to provide our students with the best opportunities that we can provide them. We just felt that we needed to make a shift in our girls program and provide our students with a little more right now.
