Our soul is with a longing desire for a savior, designed in God's plan. And world has seen this need, and given us counterfeit saviors in super hero's. No wonder such fake things are appealing -

But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

The battle on the cross reveals just how little Satan understands God; he did not see plan B coming from God. But Jesus knew everything. John 3:16
