Obviously we made some mistakes in the guild with leadership.

I got a good position coming out of the first turn and was thinking if someone will just put some pressure on the favorite, I'm in a real good spot. When [Chippewa Trail] went up to challenge Rockport and I had no one behind me to worry about, it was just a question of getting clear in the lane and he kicked in the big late move I expected.

I thought there was a lot of speed ahead of me. I was sitting back and then I called on her and she responded. They were nice fillies, but she got by them pretty easily. She had to step up today and she did.

Obviously we made some mistakes in the guild with leadership. But I'm sure we'll get together as a whole -- as one -- and make some decisions in the future.

She ran to expectations today. I know it was a tall order (to run against older horses) but she proved best. We anticipated a fast pace.
