Obviously, with the success of basketball and football, his imprint is apparent. But he's also done a lot with the non-revenue sports and has helped bring the budget under control. Finding the right leader is imperative right now.

For the first game, we really came ready to play. After a great football season and then a great basketball season, these guys really know how to step up.

It's an exciting school to be part of, obviously a football dynasty, less so on the basketball side of things, but I'm excited that they are here. They are the number 8 seed and I'm going to see how they perform over the next couple of days.

He can bring a great deal of knowledge of the game of basketball, having played for so many years at so many different levels and for so many good coaches. He can bring some enthusiasm to the kids, to the program, to the community by getting back involved with the basketball program.

Our criteria is pretty simple. We wanted something that look good and, obviously, said football. We wanted something crisp and clean and that wasn't very busy.

They were not really big into football down there. Basketball was what they primarily played.
