Oftentimes (schools) just don't teach those skills to kids; we just expect them to pick them up as they go along. And if they don't master those skills they can be behind in all areas.

What we do need to do though is look at what's working in public and chartered schools and start engaging different kinds of experts to integrate that policy into the public school system.

Collectively they have increased enrollment by 13.7 percent from previous year. Most of the schools that have opened are at capacity or over.

As soon as we realized what the extent of the problem was we reached out to schools and to the students affected.

Once a year, we have a stamp show that features exhibits made by the kids from various schools. It's a great activity, and keeps them involved in stamp collecting. Those are some of the best attended meetings. Everyone loves having the kids.

It's not uncommon for private schools across the nation to hold kids back for a year, normally in the intermediate age, ... It's for academic reasons, emotional, physical reasons, to fully develop the child. It wasn't to gain an athletic advantage. It was to develop the study habits to succeed in college.
