On the request of the Norwegian peace envoy, the (rebel) leadership has agreed to participate in peace talks in Switzerland.

Yet, we are encouraged by the fact the U.S. government is seriously concerned about the establishment of peace and stability in the island and had appealed to both parties in conflict to observe the terms of the accord.

We are deeply pleased that the government has agreed to the smooth implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
