One can only hope that the position that is being articulated by the youth league is not that of the main party.

It is not advisable to have an alternative budget without knowing how much you are budgeting for. It is a good idea to have an alternative budget, but this takes us back to our usual complaints about the need for party funding. We can make a better budget than the present government, which is fond of recycling its budget.

We are not an island. Botswana should use all the available regional interventions to articulate this daunting problem.

The youth have hope because it's their future they're hopeful about and if they're depressed about their own future, well, then we are in a bad state. And we keep hope alive by keeping it alive amongst ourselves.

The young are often accused of exaggerating their troubles; they do so, very often, in the hope of making some impression upon the inertia and the immovability of the selfish old.
