One of the primary goals of the humane society is to reduce pet overpopulation in Darlington County.

Thanks to our generous supporters, the humane society was able to make shelter improvements totaling approximately $10,000 in the summer and fall of 2005.

We have lots of traffic.

She averaged six goals a game last year. But I don't think she's had more than one a game this year. It was definitely her biggest game ... a breakthrough for her.

Leaders can express the values that hold the society together. Most important, they can conceive and articulate goals that life people out of their petty preoccupations, carry them above the conflicts that tear a society apart, and unite them in the pursuit of objectives worthy of their best efforts.

I've lived here for 20 years. This is the first time the blacks and the whites in the community have worked together on a project and it's turned out beautifully. I'm so pleased to be a part of the coalition. It's been a wonderful collaborative effort that I hope will continue on to bigger and better things.
