While I hope you will act responsibly and with reason on this issue, I feel obliged to tell you that your failure to do so would cause me to reevaluate my association with an organization that fails to recognize the role of women in our society. While I have, up to this point, respected your request that this issue not be a subject of discussion either with the public or with other members, I feel that continuing the status quo would cause me to make my views known to a broader audience -- if only to remove any doubt that I approve of the present policy.

Sometimes, there's only so much you can do. All we can do is hold out a hand and hope they grab hold.

Do not hope wholly to reason away your troubles; do not feed them with attention, and they will die imperceptibly away. Fix your thoughts upon your business, fill your intervals with company, and sunshine will again break in upon your mind.
