Only through acknowledgment of the erasure and void of Jewish life can the history of Berlin and Europe have a human future.

Human history in essence is the history of ideas.

To provide meaningful architecture is not to parody history but to articulate it.

If you seek to know the future, do not study the stars, find a history book and open it -you will learn everything that is in store for you and how to recognize it before it comes.

And of course I like Berlin a lot. It's such an interesting city.

I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past.
