Ophthalmologists across the state commend optometry for stepping forward with ophthalmology to ensure that Oklahoma school children have healthy eyes.

They are not only stealing from the school. They are stealing music from the children.

Black mothers are deciding to stay home because they want to be there when their children come home after school. They want to take a hands-on approach to their children's upbringing. Some black stay-at-home mothers are also home-schooling because they are tired of low academic achievement and racism of all sorts in the schools.

Have children in the home suggest songs from school. Hold a contest for the happiest song, the best song about animals or another topic. Give ribbons or certificates to the best songs.

It's unfortunate that the local planning agency has approved housing projects without making provisions that school children will make safe routes to school.
