Our best accomplishment so far is participation. We had so many competitive elections for the 10 at-large seats.

The most significant thing I've seen has been the level of participation.

That was an extremely great accomplishment for these girls. With all that we went through, the girls had a lot of chances to throw in the towel, but they didn't. They stuck together.

There's a strange sense of accomplishment in making an independent film. Everything's against you; there's no time, and even less money- you bring a bottle of glue, chip in twenty bucks, and hope you all make it through the day. If you manage to finish it and it actually turns out to be pretty good, it's thrilling.

They boycotted the last elections and now they are trying to register their votes and get more participation inside the new political process. Those who are 'wrong' always discover their error sooner or later.

It's a heck of an accomplishment. My brother had told me all year that he's not only a great player, he's also a great kid. I'm really happy for him.
