Our current representative is not representing our community as she should, and I have been getting a lot of encouragement from business associates and friends.

If you're not dealing with district issues, they won't vote for you again. You are not the only vote on the board, but you have to watch our for your constituency.

Diane is a very nice person and I respect what she is doing -- she is everywhere -- but sometimes she is not in touch with what the community is really speaking about in the rural portions.

We want to build a sense of community while the community is being built.

[Leo] left a wonderful legacy. He was always involved in every aspect of community. He was wonderfully community-oriented and he raised a family that way. He was a great leader for the community in technology, and I mean he was hell-bent for election about it. He was an excellent administrator, very organized. He saw to it that things got done and a lot of the time, he did it himself. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he was wonderful to work with. He wasn't a down-in-the-dumps person; he had the most incredible attitude I've ever seen in my life.

For us, it's all about the next generation. This is about a sense of community.
