Our defense created easy opportunities for us on offense. And our starters showed good patience with the ball and took good shots.

I thought we gave them a little too much momentum early in the second half. We tried to do too much individual scoring instead of staying in our team offense.

Defense is always the key to our success. I knew we were going to play well today. All week we had great practice. We just came out and did the job.

Defensively, I thought (Amherst) did great job against us the entire game. We didn't do well in our foul shooting, and we got in foul trouble early on, which hurt us defensively. Our defense has been playing well and this was our 10th shutout this year. I was pretty confident once we got a goal. We aren't going to give up many goals.

I think their patience had an effect on us not shooting the ball very well, because we didn't have the ball for a long time.
