Our fish, our recreation, our irrigation and all our uses of the Missouri River are threatened if the drought continues and the Corps of Engineers decisions aren't changed.

Beaver do better work than the Corps of Engineers.

We've been wasting the river, particularly the sediment, directing it offshore. The Corps of Engineers from the New Orleans District Office dredges more river sediment than any other district in the United States. ... The problem is, we don't put it [sediments] where it's needed. We should pipe it across the landscape, putting it into regions where we can build wetlands.

We can do things the cheap way, the simple way, for the short-term and without regard for the future. Or, we can make the extra effort, do the hard work, absorb the criticism and make decisions that will cause a better future.

The Corps (of Engineers) does not do docks.

The Corps of Engineers samplings haven't really found anything in any of those buildings until their last sample. The last go-round, they found one reading that was questionable. What the latest rounds show is it was probably a mistake.
