Our girls were excited to play (Shadyside) again. This year we were able to finish the game and they remembered last year and how it ended and wanted to come out and play hard.

We knew Burkhart was their main gun and we had to watch her. We saw them play a couple of times and our girls really played well defensively.

We're finally getting to the point in the season where the girls are learning that they can play through and around the errors. Turning those two double plays just proves that we're capable of doing that.

I look for a lot of pressure because they are extremely quick. They take pretty good care of the ball and we'll have to be able to do the same.

Jill really gave us a good game. We expect that from her and we'll need it again next week.

These girls in middle school had a couple of opportunities to play against them as well. They had a reputation coming up through middle school. So, our girls are pretty familiar with them. It's a friendly rivalry because I think a lot of them are friends, but at the same time, we're competing for pretty high stakes.
