Our history is not a history of the marginalization and exclusion of women. Our history is a history of the empowerment of women. We're not trying to invent something new. We're trying to pick up where we left off.

That's the reality. If we say it's not our problem, then we're saying that it's not our problem that people misuse and abuse Islam.

The reality for many Muslim students in public schools is very difficult. It's highly stressful.

It is such a privilege to work with this amazing group of young women. They are wonderful role models and have such big hearts. Being a leader is a huge responsibility, but the captains have done an incredible job keeping their teammates positive and working hard during the year.

Studying attractiveness has a long history. Since the 1970s, psychologists have shown that attractive people get better jobs. Attractive people are preferentially hired and promoted.

In Colombia, women are a huge factor for reconciliation. I have seen many strong women advocating for negotiations. I remember when the paramilitary were active, there were women close to the paramilitary asking for negotiations.
