Our inexperienced starters are starting to gain confidence, and it's really showing up.

The kids work hard on their hitting. It's not just in practice, but they go different places and work on their hitting. Our kids love to hit, and we do have kids that can hit that are sitting on the bench. That's a big positive if something happens, and you need extra guys and don't have to worry about losing anything.

He (Talley) is as big a competitor as there is around. He's a big part of our pitching staff and he's playing like a senior.

We have some confidence that we can go in and do something (at the tournament). If we can get our game on the floor, we'll have a good chance.

It's confidence. I feel I'm maturing a little bit. A couple of years ago, I would've tried to do too much.

We're getting better. We're playing with more confidence now.
