Our kids never gave up. We battled back.

By all means, we are not out of the hunt with three losses. It is a 15-game conference season, and we expect to be back in the race.

We had everything working for us, our pitching, hitting and fielding in the first two weeks.

Not getting two runners in with only one out really hurt. There are two ways to look at that. It is a positive that we were able to get the runners on base, but it was a negative not being aggressive enough at the plate to bring them in.

We are a good team but have just hit one of those times when we can't put our hitting together and our fielding has not been as good as we need it to be.

Those positions are wide open. We have a veteran in Reese and two young kids. To me, this camp is great because guys will have to push themselves.
