Our season has 10 race weekends. A different school hosts the race each weekend. This makes it very travel intensive: the team will travel about 6,000 miles over the course of the season to attend races. We compete everywhere from Philadelphia to Burlington, Vermont to Kansas.

The rhythm of the weekend, with its birth, its planned gaieties, and its announced end, followed the rhythm of life and was a substitute for it.

In some markets, prices could rise briefly for higher weekend travel, but then would most likely come back down shortly after Labor Day.
